About IQ Dogsport
IQ Dogsport is a German manufacturer of dog sport equipment, based in Pfaffenhofen, Germany. We develop and sell dog sport vests, multi-function and training jackets, reward systems and training equipment for IGP, obedience, tracking, mantrailing and professional K9 work.
What we make
Our focus is equipment that actively works inside your training instead of merely carrying your gear. The range covers dog sport vests (IQ Dog Sport Vest 3.0, IQ Summer Vest 3.0), K9 handler vests for duty use, multi-function and training jackets including zip-in liners, reward systems (IQ Magnet Pocket, IQ Magnetizer, modular treat pouch, multi-function belt), IGP training equipment (pop-up blind, retrieve dumbbells, position crops, tracking flags, article trainers) and training treats.
What sets the equipment apart technically
- Patented chest pocket system with pull release: two chest pockets that zip together into one large pocket, with concealed ball delivery from the centre of the body – for a straight front sit.
- Hidden Reward System: the attachable IQ Magnet Pocket buttons onto the left armhole and is released by a pull cord on the right-hand side. The reward drops out invisibly under the armpit, with no visible movement from the handler.
- Internal magnetic compartments for magnetic balls and systems such as Top-Matic: the magnet stays secured and accidental swallowing is ruled out.
- Claw-resistant functional double-face fabric with riveted seams and bartacks at the load points.
- 9 unisex sizes from XXS to 4XL, cut for men and women.
Where the equipment is in service
The vests have been worn for years by K9 handlers in the police, customs service, prison service and armed forces – where equipment has to work every single day. In sport, two-time team world champions are among those who train with it.
From practice, for practice
Product development draws on years of experience as an active handler at the highest level (repeated participation in German and World Championships, two-time team world champion) and on the feedback of Team Heuwinkl, one of the most successful clubs in the world. That is how we make sure our products hold up in practice.
