The IQ Multifunctional Jacket 3.0 Handler is the insulated, waterproof dog sport jacket for handlers who work, train, and are out in wind, rain, cold, and daily stress.

How warm and waterproof is the MFJ 3.0?

The MFJ 3.0 has a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and features taped and reinforced seams, keeping you reliably dry even in heavy rain. The outer fabric is durable enough to be used in professional K9 vests and is designed to withstand contact with large dogs. The insulation is moderate: very warm for active use in fall and winter, but intentionally not as heavily insulated as a down coat.

What makes the MFJ 3.0 different from a conventional winter jacket?

The storage system. It includes a large rear pocket for toys, leashes and training equipment, removable treat pockets, a Napoleon pocket and several inside pockets. Behind the treat pockets, there are also fleece-lined handwarmer pockets. The inside of the jacket also features three magnetic compartments, for example for Top-Matic products, as well as attachment loops for the IQ Modular Treat Pouch.

Which versions of the MFJ 3.0 are available?

The difference is that the MFJ 3.0 is insulated, making it the warm option for fall and winter. The Training Jacket 2.0 is unlined and serves as the jacket equivalent of the dog sports vest. It is the only jacket with the patented chest pocket and drawcord system and is compatible with the IQ Magnetic Pouch for concealed reward delivery during heeling.

How should I wash and reproof the jacket?

Use a technical cleaner rather than conventional laundry detergent, such as Nikwax Tech Wash. Refresh the durable water-repellent finish regularly with Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-In. This helps maintain the jacket's waterproof performance and breathability over time.
